Lars is an international Hotelier with over 38 years of hospitality experience of which 15 years as an accomplished general manager for luxury chain hotels and private owners.  Until 2021, he held the position of General Manager at Hotel Beau Rivage Geneva, Switzerland, until he founded his own hotel consulting/advisory company in 2022. During his career with Hyatt International, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts as well as Mandarin Oriental, he worked in three continents and is fluent in German, English and French. He is result-orientated with strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset. As a hands-on leader keeping customers, employees- and owners in mind he has opened two hotels from pre-opening and one re-opening/renovation. He is driven by innovation and creativity. He has a proven track record to reposition and turnaround hotels. Solid and modern leadership skills round up success to-date.

Qualifications and Experience

Lars has graduated from Hotel School in Hamburg. He attended Cornell University twice taking part at the 7-week professional Development Program and attending the schools General Manager Program. For three months he participated at IMD Lausanne’s Executive Development Program and participated at ESSECs Hotel Finance course. In the last two years Lars’s knowledge is appreciated by the students of the Glion Hotel School where he has been a regular guest speaker.

Passions

Lars is a passionate golfer for more than 40 years, burgundy wine lover and extremely well-travelled.
