Gabrielle Gambina advises investors, developers, banks and hotel owners on a range of investment issues, from the improvement of hotel cash flow through to a range of operational improvements, assisting both owners and banks to decrease debt.
Gabrielle has worked on projects across the world including Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia and the UK. While based in the UK, she worked for specialist hotel consultancy firms such as TRI Hospitality and larger real estate firms like Jones Lang La Salle in the UK.
She consults on business planning and investment analysis for development/ acquisition/ disposal of hotels and large leisure resorts, including shared ownership schemes, and provides advice to investors based on their investment objectives.
As well as assisting developers with the initial concept and product definition, she engages with operators to secure the best management deal. Given her financial background, she also provides hotel owners with on-going asset management services.
Recent assignments include a competitive analysis, market data analysis and financial forecasting to assist a leading Asian hotel operator with a London hotel investment; a concept definition, market analysis, competitive benchmarking and financial forecasts for a large themed resort in the UK to assist with fund-raising; asset management of a leading city centre hotel in Eastern Europe with monthly financial analysis and reporting to assist the parent company in the US; and advising the Malaysian government, as part of a workgroup, on the tourism development strategy for a section of the country’s east coast.
Gabrielle is now based in Spain and has an MA in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey and is also a certified, chartered accountant (ACCA). She is fluent in English, Maltese, Italian, and conversant in Spanish, French and Portuguese.
