Arabian Travel Market, Dubai, 22-25 April 2018

David Atkinson, VP Business Development, attended this year’s Arabian Travel Market in Dubai – the 25th anniversary of the ATM.  Focussing on one of the most diverse and dynamic regions for hospitality and travel anywhere in the world, this is always a great event.

The Arabian Travel Market is the Middle East’s leading inbound and outbound travel event and welcomes more than 2400 exhibitors from every sector of the travel industry to gather and discover 2800 products and destinations from around the world and access an invaluable education programme.

New hotel brands were introduced at the show, not least Jumeriah’s exciting new brand Zaabeel House which has seen its first hotel open in Dubai and now has further plans for expansion in London.

Ceasers Entertainment Corporation has collaborated with leading developer Meraas to bring the Ceaser Palace Hotel to the Bluewater island development in Dubai. This will certainly create new leisure opportunities for the destination.

For the traveller, the “experience” has become all important, the blending of business and leisure, the focus on activities and sustainability.

Saudi Arabia had a big presence at the show, and with the wide-ranging and exciting developments happening in the Kingdom to achieve “Vision 2030”  – on which Hotel Solutions Partnership are consulting – leisure tourism will undoubtedly be a key focus.

David commented that “the region is changing more rapidly than ever before and this presents the Hotel Solutions Partnership team of industry experts with many opportunities in the travel, leisure and hospitality sectors – exciting times ahead!”
