Russel Sharpe provides extensive senior level operational expertise combined with business planning and development for both internationally branded and independent hotels and broader tourism markets in the Middle East, Africa and India regions. He is an expert in assisting investors with operator search and selection and on-going hotel asset management.
As well as guiding developer’s investment strategy, feasibility studies and best use studies, he identifies the appropriate operator and negotiates to secure optimum management contract terms. He assists with the design, pre-opening and procurement process. Given his strong hotel operations background, he also provides hotel owners with on-going asset management services.
In addition to these projects Russel Sharpe was involved in the negotiation and re-negotiation of management contracts in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cairo, India and Pakistan.
Russel has worked extensively on projects across the world including Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. He is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In his executive career, Russel’s strength lay in Sales & Marketing and his broad experience coupled with his impressive track record enabled him to hold senior regional posts with Holiday Inns, Accor and more recently with Meridien Hotels and Resorts, culminating with the role of Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing Middle East and West Asia setting up their first Central Reservation Office and sales network servicing Middle East and India.
