Philippe Maricq joined Hotel Solutions Partnership as a hands-on Consultant, delivering clients fast, tangible and sustainable advice, solutions and/or tools within his wide scope of expertise. He is committed to protecting the clients’ interests and if necessary will accompany them throughout the implementation of his recommendations.

His expertise includes: mergers and acquisitions, due diligence; financial and management reporting; corporate goverance, internal audit, internal control and enterprise risk management (ERM); process improvement via Business Process Modelling (BPM) and/or Re-engineering; policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s); restructuring and turnarounds; performance management, and project management.

Philippe also gained other considerable skills with more than 23 years’ experience driving restructuring efforts while enabling growth and profitability at corporate or operational levels, either for listed or non-listed companies of all sizes and in various industries. His flexible yet disciplined, structured approach evaluates, improves and ultimately adds value to hotels or hotel chains. By bringing an energetic, analytical and pro-active dimension, his participative approach has led to turnaround in multiple hotels but also across headquarters and business units in other industries.

Philippe has a proven track record of achievement. Among them and since he joined Hotel Solutions Partnership, he has successfully performed or delivered for various hotel owners or potential investors off and onsite critical due diligence and SWOT analysis; long range business and financial plans based on complex data sources; various handy operating and forecasting tools; in-depth investments appraisals; benchmarking and sensitivity analyses; business and financial risk maps.

Previously, Philippe was Director of Internal Audit & Group Controlling with the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. He had initially joined as ‘Director Group Accounting’ (reporting to the Deputy President & CFO) where he supervised the full management reporting process for the Group and was also key in the floating process of the Group. While at Carlson Rezidor, he deployed several key strategic and operational initiatives. He has audited more than 70+ hotels, Regional Offices, Shared Services Centres and also Top Management level servicing these hotels.

Prior to Carlson Rezidor, Philippe was Corporate CFO with Rotarex S.A. in Luxemburg and before then, CFO of AXA Assistance.

Philippe holds degrees in Marketing and Accounting and also a Postgraduate ‘Master of Accountancy and Finance’. He was awarded a Postgraduate ‘Certificate’ from INSEAD as a result of attending the ‘International Executive Programme’ (IEP 2001) and is currently undertaking exams to become an International ‘Certified Internal Auditor’ from the ‘Institute of Internal Auditors’ (The IIA) based in Florida.

He is fluent in French, his mother tongue, English and Dutch and has a good foundation in Spanish. He is based in Belgium.
