Manuel assists clients in promoting or positioning resorts, analysing the strengths that are key and how best to differentiate the offer from competitors. He advises on facilities, whether a hotel is a necessary part of the resort infrastructure, a brand licensed or if a Condo hotel or Time Share can add value into the real estate structure. He also advises current or future property owners on the divestiture of real estate, the drivers profitability and resourcing issues.
Prior to establishing his consultancy, Manuel was Managing Director of Las Colinas de Campoamor Golf Resort in Alicante for which he led a repositioning exercise, which included changing the brand to Las Colinas Golf & Country Club and the early phases of a re-Master-Planning process that included a preliminary zoning change.
Earlier he had been an executive at La Manga Club in Spain and on its board as Land and Legal Affairs Director from 1997 until the sale of the resort by P&O in 200. He was also on the board of various P&O companies in Spain. As a member of the top management team he was directly involved in the construction of the Hyatt Regency La Manga Hotel, now marketed as Hotel Principe Felipe, and the construction of the four star hotel Las Lomas, and its conversion into a condo-hotel.
